How to Change Timeline Row Positions in the Editor

Updated over 2 weeks ago

To change the position of timeline rows in the editor:

  1. Open your clip in the editor by clicking the edit button.

  2. In the timeline section, you’ll see multiple rows representing different elements such as assets, b-rolls, and captions.

  3. Drag and drop a row up or down to change its position on the timeline.

  4. The position of each row determines how its content appears on your clip. For example, if an asset is placed on the top row, it will appear above all other elements in the final video. Items on lower rows will be layered underneath.

  5. Check the preview of your clip to confirm the arrangement looks as intended.

  6. Once satisfied, click export.

This allows you to control which element appear over others, ensuring your assets, b-rolls, and captions are displayed exactly as you want.
